The beginning
With more than 42 years of experience serving immigrants, ACCESS has cultivated an ability to grow and evolve with the needs of its community. For decades, ACCESS has endowed its clients with the resources they need to survive and thrive.
In recent years, ACCESS witnessed the hardships of metro Detroit’s economic downturn and the advantages of embracing a growing foreign-born population. Recognizing the need for regional revitalization and new avenues by which immigrants could adapt and become self-sufficient, ACCESS saw an opportunity.
Coupling the creativity and resourcefulness of immigrants with the demand for community-based collaboration, the Growth Center was founded to foster independence as well interdependence between resouces in the community.
